1.
Hindenburg 01:18
oh, Hindenburg, Hindenburg I’ll follow wherever you go, I’ll follow you down everybody's always going somewhere even mountains, with or without a care so Hindenburg, Hindenburg, I'll follow you down
2.
Moviegoer 02:15
at the point of something flowing over from the side I hone in, a moviegoer and in the midst of everything almost bursting l look out the window, trees upturning and as you tumble over your motormower by the stone your nose hits, a four-leaf clover and as you pass out, gurgling for a moment an unheard-of thought hits then it’s over
3.
Colourless 01:28
didn’t you say you were still on your way, or was I just dreaming? now, everyone’s gone but this fiddle and drum and here I am waiting, again here I am waiting colourless as only life can be we should be lovers today only (both of us restless, inherently lonely) I’ll comb out my tangles today only put on my swimwear and let it go
4.
Kalimba 02:27
I worked so little and thought so much never thought I'd see a change I thought so little and worked so much if i cannot seek and I cannot go how can I know what you are thinking about? if I cannot speak, how can I show - I know how everything is be a squid; squeeze and churn, alive
5.
Dusty 02:00
don’t you know that I’m dusty too, don’t you know that I’m rusty through and through? wherever I go, I am dusty through and through I ́ll get old before I am functional
6.
I’m just a snake and I live in the ground I’m just a snake and I’m afraid of dogs I’m just a snake and I slip into the ground when I get scared I’m just a dog and I live in the yard I’m just a dog and I’m scared of loud voices I’m just a dog and I eat what I find and I’ll slip into the ground - the moment I am through
7.
Downtown 02:16
my hands believe in touch my feet believe in ground and when I go downtown my eyes -
8.
9.
Tadpole 01:45
it's been building up to a rainstorm! and I'm waiting here for your say-so to come over, come over now who is the tadpole who's the landlord, who is the rorqual? a-loafing and roaming ...won't you come? oh, come over head plummeting into the water embracing, under water now who is the landlord who's the rorqual, who is the tadpole waiting here for the rainstorm to blow over
10.
Sleepwalker 01:55
do you know what kind of sleepwalker I am do you ever really know where I am? could have been, could have been like a pair of yellow boots in the rain but you know what kind of sleepwalker I am
11.
Slumbersong 02:00
bedtime, morning so long stretching, yawning all gone in the summer give up all your thinking it's enough first the summer, then the fall then you stumble on and on and on and on even as the timelessness drags you on you keep crawling back to no-one
12.
Hubris 01:55
i hang on to the sun as it’s sinking i forget everything that i’m thinking then I’m drawn to the dust on the ceiling and that’s all there is to say (pinch a hole in your bag and you’ll breathe in and that’s all there is to say)

about

A song cycle written and recorded over a long period of time, in a boat house on the west coast of Norway, and in various outdoor locations. Twelve songs exploring border areas between sleep and wakefulness, dream and reality, connectedness and isolation, depression and exuberance.

Soon available: a 28-page risograph-printed booklet featuring lyrics, drawings and photography by Eirik Heggen, Sondre Haaland Bjelland, Christine Bouché and myself.
